Dorothy Vinsky and Rosemary Lemmis are both experienced business lawyers who decided to form a firm dedicated to helping women and other marginalized groups create community and succeed in business. Both are committed to the empowerment of women. They will discuss their backgrounds, their practice, which includes personalized legal counseling from start ups to successful businesses, referrals to other lawyers when assistance is needed in areas such as employment, tax and family law, providing information on how and where businesses may obtain financing, and the creation of community groups through meetings, introductions, virtual seminars, reading groups, all with a view that community support can help create strength, purpose and clarity for those pursuing their own projects. They will also begin to discuss how new businesses can protect their ideas; they plan to offer comprehensive and sophisticated presentations on legal and business issues in the months to come, and welcome suggestions as to what members would like to hear and know about.
